There will be 5 categories of membership, all valid for ‘life’:

1. FELLOWS:

Interventional cardiologists, Radiogists and vascular surgeons who are actively performing transradial interventions for 2 or more years and have completed 8 years post- specialization degree (DM or Equivalent) Any specialty with > 8 years since specialization with interest in wellness All members of the Governing Body will be the founding fellows of WARIS.

2. ASSOCIATE FELLOWS:

Between 2-8 years Post-DM or equivalent will be eligible for Associate fellowship. Associate fellows can apply to become Fellow after completion of 8 years from the date of specialization degree. Associate members will not have voting rights.

3. MEMBERS:

Interventional cardiologists, vascular surgeons and interventional radiologists who are actively performing transradial interventions but have not completed 2 years since their specialization degree. Any medical specialist with > 2 years since specialization degree/ diploma with interest in wellness. A

4. ASSOCIATE MEMBERS:

Those without DM or Equivalent degree with interest in the field and wishing to contribute to the field. This will include qualified Graduates/ PG or Equivalent (paramedical professionals including nurses, Technicians. Interventional cardiologists, vascular surgery, interventional radiologists who are being formally trained in transradial interventions and have still not been awarded specialty degrees. Associate Members will not have voting rights.

5. MEDICAL INDUSTRY/ Respected Graduate Citizens:

Medical industry will nominate their technical experts and marketing persons as ‘Associate member’. Educated (Graduate degree) Citizens with interest in wellness will also be eligible in the same category. They will not have voting rights and cannot proceed to fellowship.

6. OVERSEAS FELLOWS:

Eminent interventionists from the field of vascular surgery, interventional radiology would be invited for this category of fellowship. This will have all the privileges of the fellows of the society but will not have voting rights.

Application for Membership/ Fellowship

Request for membership shall be made on the prescribed forms supplied by the secretary. These would be scrutinized by the credential committee and approved by the governing body. All application forms shall be accompanied by documentary evidence of eligibility and prescribed fee.

Privileges Of Fellowship/ Membership

The fellows and members shall have the privilege to attend and take part in all general meetings, conferences, lectures, discussions and demonstrations. They shall also receive a copy of the society newsletter. Based upon vacancies in the Executive Committee, fellows shall be eligible for various posts.
